Really nice idea, but:

  1. What will make users who are not politicians join the site? What is the advantage over Facebook in this field?

  2. I tried to register using my FB profile and got this:
    Array ( [firstname] => Array ( [0] => Firstname must be in latin charаcters. ) [lastname] => Array ( [0] => Last name must be in latin characters. ) )

Hi Gilad, there are 2 types of users, “Leaders” or “Pols” that decide to broadcast (publish original video recordings about themselves and what they do), and those that sign up to support the leaders.

The difference with Facebook or Twitter is that on PolsCorner you don’t need to know someone by name in order to look them up. In this way someone that broadcasts can easily attract new supporters based on locality or party affiliation. We will eventually start showing elections running around the country and list of participants in these elections.

We are just a few days old and still in beta. Is your Facebook name in hebrew? This is what might be causing the error. Can you try signing up by email?
